Fishing in and around the Sanibel and Captiva Islands offers many fantastic options, from shore, backwater and Gulf fishing to wade fishing along the Bay beach and Causeway. Many varieties of fish are caught in the islands including snook, tarpon, cobia, flounder, red drum, trout, grouper, and shark, among others.
